Hello Mr. Slingshot!
Greetings to you from Guyana! I heard you performing for the movie Guiana 1838. My friends and me will be there, so please sing ‘Bourda Market’ for us. Ok? My mom just love that song cause she sells in Bourda market.
Good luck to you, Sling!

John,
Last night I went to a cook-out at my son's home and brought along your CD and would you believe it another young man told me he saw a video with your music??
Can hardly wait to see my photo on your website ;-)
Here's my sister Sarah's phone number […] Her son's name is Romeo. He is the kid who introduced me to your music and he wants so much to become a singer. It would be an honour if you could visit with them.
Enjoy your stay in Guyana, sure wish I could also make that trip ;-)
Pam (a die-hard Miami Slingshot fan)

Hi there Slingshot
Did a bit of reading from your abb.biography and found it quite interesting........one of your young days photos looked a bit like Ritchie Valens (Donna, La Bamba etc.) Did you get your inspiration from Herb Alpert & Tijuana Brass song "the lonely bull" (by naming your then band "the lonely bulls") :-)
Does your house on 63 beach still exist? Sorry, dont mean to pry but I'm just a curious person in a positive way :-))
And finally, where is Etwaria today?????:-)
You r truly a fine example of what a person can make of their lives...as I'm sure it was not easy growing up "alone"
You do deserve only the best.....as another mighty Guyanese (BR) said " The mighty Slingshot wonder product of our soil... he is the man that brought you the Tropical waves. His songs is sold everywhere Guyanese settles".
Even more good wishes for you and your family J.D. Slingshot!
Have a great time in Guyana!!!!!! And silly as it sounds have a rum & coconut water for me :-))
Best regards from Patty

I know this brilliant Guyanese singer. I saw Slingshot at some Mash competitions in GT. He has class! He is no ordinary musician. Them Guyanese on Liberty Avenue in New York play his songs. You can hear his lyrics as you do window shopping along Liberty Avenue.

This guy is fantastic with a lot of talent a good example for the youth of our country, one thing, he hasn't forgotten his roots, We are a blessed Nation indeed, I was listening to some of his music and well, got a bit homesick, remembered my youth days when we all used to jump up and dance to the soca bands, and the steel pans, behind my school, Dolphin, had some youths that used to practice every afternoon, it seems like it was only yesterday, surely these good times didn't just come to GO away like that, gotta squeeze a Little more outta this.....

Ever think about putting out some music here in Brasil? You know they like new things especially in the Music dept. It would be sooo nice to see a Guyanese raking all them Brazillian Real. It`s two for one against the greenback. So think about it. Could even help get an agency to promote u here, soca is big here, and you got the real thing!!! Don`t think too long …ok....?

Hey Slingshot I don't know if you remember me but I would like another copy of the first two CD's you made.
I think they were in Berbice. Could you please e-mail me back and let me know if you would be able to mail them to me.
I have been doing good. I am a junior in high school now and I’m getting ready to go to college to pursue a career in criminal justice or psychology.
Please get back with me ASAP.
Greetings,
Olivia

Hi Slingshot,
Hope all is well with you.
No doubt you have lots of not only Guyanese fans but West Indians also.
In your approach to the art form you have developed a style and a form that is propelling you through the musical arena. Some of your works could be considered not only present day but more so, timely.
Guyana is going to be there for you.
Go for the Double Crown!
All the best
Cecil.
